“City in Transition. Urban Dialogues on the Future of Lviv”
Book-Presentation at the Urban Forum Lviv, Ukraine, June 11, 2025
The book is the final result of a multi-year research and publication project in the context of academic cooperation between TU Wien and Lviv Polytechnic University in collaboration with Lviv City Council. Therefor this book is a collective work that depicts the peculiarities of the city’s resilient functioning in the context of urban transformation and unpredictable crises. It examines ongoing urban transformation processes in Lviv, Ukraine, bridging research and practice both before and during the war.
The book presentation that evening was given by authors Andreas Hofer, Anastasia Hujvan and Bohdan Cherkes. Numerous other protagonists and authors of the book also spoke, including the Mayor of Lviv Andriy Sadovyi, Chief Architect Anton Kolomieitsev, the architects Maryna Peleshchak, Olena Tribusian, Oleksandr Fenchuk, Solomiia Shcheholska and Christian Gigler, as well as representatives of Dom Verlag Philipp Meuser and Björn Rosen.
